1. Who the App is for

The App is designed for buyers, exhibitors, and business visitors participating in WOFX – World Furniture Expo. The App is intended for users aged 18 years and above.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, job title, company name, address, country, and city.
• Buyer information, including business type, product interests, sourcing preferences, and matchmaking responses.
• Exhibitor information, including company profile, logo, social media links, product details, images, and catalogues.
• Visa invitation request information, including passport details and passport copies provided for visa invitation purposes.
• Meeting requests, messages, and networking information shared through the App.
• Lead information captured when exhibitors scan visitor badges during the event.

Information Collected Automatically

• Login session tokens required to keep you signed in securely.
• Basic technical information necessary for the operation and security of the App.

We do not use advertising networks, disclose personal information for advertising purposes, or collect location data through the App.

Device Permissions

• Camera: Used only for QR/badge scanning and optional image capture for uploads.
• Photos/Files: Used only when you choose to upload documents, logos, catalogues, product images, or passport copies.

The App does not use cookies. Authentication tokens are stored securely and used solely for App functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Register and manage your participation in WOFX.
• Generate badges, passes, and participant credentials.
• Facilitate business matching and meeting scheduling between buyers and exhibitors.
• Process visa invitation requests.
• Enable exhibitors to manage products, profiles, forms, and leads.
• Send event-related notifications, confirmations, meeting updates, and service communications.
• Maintain App security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We process personal information to provide our services, fulfill contractual obligations, meet legal requirements, and, where applicable, based on your consent.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share information:

With Other Participants

• To facilitate networking and business matching, relevant profile information may be shared between buyers and exhibitors.
• When you voluntarily present your badge for scanning at an exhibitor’s booth, your registration information, such as your name, company, designation, contact details, country, and business interests (where applicable), may be shared with that exhibitor for business follow-up purposes.

With Service Providers

We may share information with trusted service providers that host, maintain, and support our systems, subject to confidentiality and security obligations.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal information where required by law or to protect our rights, participants, or event security.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising purposes.

5. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in India or other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All information is transmitted using secure encrypted connections (HTTPS), and login tokens are stored using secure device storage where available.

However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, operate the event, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

Passport copies and visa-related documents are retained only for the period necessary to process visa invitation requests and are securely deleted thereafter unless a longer retention period is required by law.

9. Account and Data Deletion

To delete your WOFX account and associated personal data:

1. Email contactus@worldexindia.com from your registered email address.
2. Use the subject line: “Delete my WOFX account”.
3. Include your full name and whether you are registered as a buyer or exhibitor.

We will acknowledge and process your request within 30 days. Personal information associated with your account will be deleted or anonymized unless retention is required by law, contractual obligations, fraud prevention requirements, or legitimate business purposes.

Please note that leads already exported by exhibitors may continue to be retained by those exhibitors in accordance with their own privacy practices.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted within the App and reflected by the “Last Updated” date above.

12. Your Consent

By registering for or using the WOFX App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described herein.
